first days in sydney..

So here we are! sorry we haven't had any real posts yet, it's been a lot harder trying to find the internet than we thought it would be. We just checked into our first hostel today, and although the internet isn't free, they have it - so we're finally using it. The trip has been awesome so far! The hotel we initially stayed in was pretty nice. The hostel we're in now is very nice as well - a lot nicer than I had thought hostels would be! it was 95 here yesterday, so we thought we would go to the beach, and so did everyone else in the city! we got to the beach, looked at all the people standing in the wave-less ocean, and then we got back on the bus. Overall, pretty eventful. The day before we went to see the Opera House - which was awesome! and played some phase 10 in the park (aimee beat me). however, i kicked butt when we were in the pub later that afternoon. Tomorrow we're going out to the countryside to meet Ted's friend Josie, and I think we're going to stay there for a couple days and see what Australia is really like! oh! we found out that our phone isn't actually free for incoming calls for us. it's $.25/min, so when we talk, we have to make it quick. oh! and anytime someone calls, it comes up as private number, and we have no idea who it is (not that we're screening our calls), but if you could just say who it is that's calling, it would be greatly appreciated!
